Also, it doesn't have cameras that let it see the corners of a room.

However, it's a good choice, especially if you want to save money on a iRobot Roomba and you have a mostly unfinished home or office. Additionally, it's quiet and you can use it when you're at work or at school. The only thing it's missing that you don't get in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. It's also less effective in mopping. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. If you're in need of it clean the mopping pad, it can be changed for a wet one in just a few seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact, sleek vacuum cleaner that can mop floors. Its smart cleaning maps and nimble navigation make it easy to clean, and efficient in tackling larger particles like pet hair. It also has a self-emptying bin with powerful suction and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot mop automatic hoover for carpets, but it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning.

3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

This mop and vacuum combination is sleek and has a circular look that looks more like the regular Roomba model than the bulky models from the rivals. It's one of our most appealing looking robot vacuums. The newest model from iRobot happens to be its smartest model, with features that are cutting-edge like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).

It's also the only robot vacuum/mop that scored a perfect 10 out of 10 in our evaluations. This is thanks to a combination high-tech sensors, including a structured lighting system, a camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can fully autonomously refill and empty its base station, and it boasts the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

As with other iRobot models, the X40 is user-friendly, with an intuitive mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only downside is that the X40 still a noisy unit. This could be a problem in mornings before work, or in the evening when you are trying to sleep.

It's also a bit expensive, though it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, both of which are equally capable and better-looking. If you're willing to live with a bit more noise and some extra cost, this is a very capable two-in-one that should satisfy most people.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the high-end robot vacuum and mop. It has a range of advanced features that will make you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaner that is similar to Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It has a multifunction dock which automatically emptys the vacuum's bin and fills up the water tank, as well as washes and dry mop pads.
