We have skin types and colours, concerns and goals, and some habits that are not – all of which impacts the way our skin behaves, reacts or ages. And with endless treatment and skincare  out there, understanding and finding the right plan can be a little bit of a minefield.

If you have mild skin or you’d like to feel more in your skin but you’re unsure where to start, a free personalised skin consultation with a specialist practitioner or nurse at sk:n can help you gain a deeper understanding of your skin, and which treatment and skincare programmes will get you to the best skin of your life.

What happens in the skin consultation

Our aim is to find out what you love and don’t love about your skin, if you have any  skin  and what your skin goals are. We combine that with a full skin and assessment, so we can create the right treatment and plan for you.

During your consultation, we’ll remove makeup or from so we can fully your skin, including assessing the texture, thickness and colour which could indicate such as acne or . Your skin will also be examined under a skin scanner, which can indicate if your skin is healthy, dehydrated, oily, congested or has sun damage. We will take your before photos, so you can see your progress throughout your treatment plan.

We’ll then discuss your daily and monthly and treatment plan to get the best results for you and your skin. We may recommend a number of options including peels, or Hydrafacial, and skincare to use at home. Depending on your goals or the severity of your skin concern, we will refer you to a doctor or  nurse. And if you are in injectables as a solution to the signs of ageing, we can also refer you to a doctor or nurse prescriber too.

To secure an appointment, we will a deposit. Your credit or debit card details will be secured against your booking. Virtual consultations are free of charge subject to a £25 . consultations are priced at £50. Please refer to our for more information.

Book a General skin and consultation (https://drmohanclinic.co.uk) skin with a specialist nurse or . Ideal for those with mild to moderate skin including mild acne, skin, open pores, pigmentation, dull skin and mild signs of ageing, or for those who are simply just unsure where to start. Your skin will be fully examined for a number of skin concerns, your skin goals will be assessed, and your personalised  plan will be . If you have more pronounced skin that a doctor or , we may refer you, and can also refer you to a nurse prescriber or doctor for .

To secure an appointment, we will require a deposit. Your credit or debit card will be secured against your booking. For or Nurse consultations we take a fully refundable (subject to terms) deposit of £25 and £50 for Doctor led consultations. Please refer to our for more information.

Your skin consultation lasts around minutes. This will allow the practitioner to fully assess your skin and your skin goals, your and create a recommended plan.

The consultation is completely free, but we do require a £25 to secure your . You won’t be if you attend your appointment, or you cancel or move your appointment over 48 hours before your appointment in line with our  policy.​

The cost of your and/or plan will be during your consultation, but treatment can start from £59, depending on your clinic.

Your consultation will be with one of our experienced specialist nurses or practitioners with extensive of the skin. Should you have a more severe skin concern, they can also refer you into a doctor or  if you need to see one. Please note these with a doctor or are  and do a refundable* deposit – please check the consultation price before booking. We can also refer you to a doctor or nurse prescriber for an  consultation if you are about the signs of ageing. We will ask you to come makeup free, but feel free to bring some with you to put on after the if you wish.

Our expert skin practitioners will ask a variety of questions which are to help them create the best plan of action to tackle your skin concern. For example:

You can wear makeup to your appointment, however, we recommend that you come makeup free so that we can spend the maximum amount of time your skin. We cannot fully your skin with makeup on as we need to assess the texture, thickness and colour which could indicate such as acne or sensitivity.

Step 1 – We will have a chat with you about everything you don’t love about your skin, whether you have any particular concerns and what your goals are to help us create your personalised plan.

We may recommend several including chemical peels, microneedling, laser or Hydrafacial, and skincare to use at home. If you have a more severe concern, such as cystic acne, we will refer you to a doctor. If you are interested in anti-ageing injectables to boost your confidence, we can also refer you to a doctor or nurse .
